On our way back to the marina and campground we continued down river to the huge hydro electric dam and the pleasure boat canal and lock system to allow transit around the dam.

In 2002 we had a wonderful trip across Canada in a VW Westfalia camper 'Adolph'. Our 4 month trip took us to all 10 provinces, covering about 24,000 kms.The chance to visit family and friends as well as the many National Parks and Canadian Historical Sites convinced us that we must plan to do this trip again. - Our 'Home on Wheels' or better known as the 'Wagon Train' is a 38' Dutch Star motor home made by Newmar and powered by a 300 hp Cummins Diesel engine. 'Dutchess' comes with all the comforts that you would find in a small house,frig, freezer,toilet,shower,gas stove,convection oven/microwave,2 TV's and a queen size bed. With no lawns to cut! Behind 'Dutchess' we tow a Suzuki Grande Vitara 4 wheel drive SUV. 'Granny' is used for all our local sightseeing, and running around while the motor home is parked.
