Friends Derek and Lene once again told us about the Valley of Fire State Park in the north east corner of Nevada not far from the northern end of Lake Mead.
The bright red sand stone rocks would just glow on a sunny day but we were expecting bad weather.
The camp sites were scattered around amongst the rocks but during the night we were hit by a huge gust of wind that blew sand and leaves in around the slide out. Consequently we spent the rest of the night with it rolled in.
