Our hope was to be on Parliament Hill for the celebrations around Canada's 150 Anniversary of Confederation. Due to the weather, very wet and rainy, and the huge crowds in Downtown Ottawa we were not able to gain access to the Parliaments grounds.
At Jean and John's property the flags on their property and on the back of Dutchess help to celebrate the special holiday
Downtown on the 1st, the crowds are huge, estimated at 500,000 with very strict security.
Several large screens showed us the main stage.
Bill and Jean, not raining at the moment!
Peggy ready for a shower, the 4 of us came into town by bus. We stayed until after lunch before heading out of town as we realized we were not to get on the 'Hill'.
John and Jean at home by their 5th wheel that they drove to the West Coast several years ago.
