Last day in China

On our last day in Shanghai we have a leisurely breakfast, pack our bags and are ready to be picked up by our guide and driver to be taken to the Cruise Ship Terminal. Unfortunately Vacations to Go, our booking agent provided us with the wrong terminal information. It took our driver and guide over an hour to get us to the correct terminal.  Our driver was very stressed as he was very late to pickup 4 other passengers at the International Airport.  We boarded our ship the Celebrity Millennium for an 18 day passage back to Vancouver.

A view of a small section of a container port for Shanghai. Heading down river it took us several hours to pass the many sections of the port infrastructure. The air pollution was getting worse due to several coal fired generators......we finally had to go inside the ship.

River traffic from freighters to barges was constant. It is hard to imagine if they ever stop. Off to explore our cabin, the ship and get ourselves ready for dinner. Tomorrow we will have a short call at Cheju City, Korea
