There is a very long driveway into Herongate lined with tall poplar trees.

Marilyn has had a very large vegetable garden but over the years the roots of the poplar trees have invaded, seeking the water from the irrigation . Marilyn wanted a raised garden built so one day Brian and Bill went off and bought some 1'' x 12"s and Marilyn's new veggie garden was created.





Compost was bought down from the top paddock and the irrigation was altered to fit the shape of the new garden boxes. We dug part of the old garden and squash, and zucchini were planted along with strawberries rescued from the old garden and the raspberries were weeded and sorted through.
