It is almost six months ago that we crossed the head waters of the Mississippi River, having to divert north around the flood waters at Des Moines, Iowa. Here you can see the network of dikes beside the river and one of the bridges out of the city across the Mississippi River, a paddle wheeler and views looking up and down the river from New Orleans, Water Street.
