One day while we were staying near Naples we drove up the coast to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel and Captiva Islands, which face out on to the Gulf of Mexico.A view of some run-abouts moored up out of the water to keep their hulls clean.
It was so odd to see this decorated Xmas tree amongst the palms on the sand on the patio of the Mucky Duck Pub. The pub's outside deck had propane heaters for cool days and large fans to create a 'sea breeze' on the very warm days.
There were miles and miles of fine white sandy beaches.
