After a week in Sun City visiting with Ruth we headed north on Highway 17, stopped for lunch at Montezuma's Castle National Monument. Then took Highway 179 up to Sedona, a small picturesque town in the heart of Red Rock State Park.
The road was very good until we arrived at Sedona where there are road works right through the town.
One of the hills we descended into the valley.
The last of the Saguaro Cactus as we climb out of the Phoenix Valley. They can live for 200 years, and grow to 30' to 40' high.
