Bluenose II

Today we went sailing on the ‘Bluenose II’, yes the real one. Kath wanted to go when we were here 6 years ago, but we were always in the wrong port. This time it worked and was great, but they wouldn’t let us do any work or steer or navigate. There were 4 officers and 12 crew members, and it took ½ hour to raise 4 sails, the only winch on board is the windless. We had 28 to 30 knots of wind and were sailing 10 to 12 knots, a very powerful machine and in truly beautiful condition, you would love the woodwork and varnish!
