Guess what this is!

Who would know what these posts are on a beautiful summer day at the Walmart parking lot in Fairbanks. They are not hitching posts for Caribou, but 110 volt outlets so that customer cars in the winter will stay warm when plugged in.  Walmart 'Customer Care Service'. We watched as a truck with a camper on the back came in one evening and tried plugging in his electrical cord but he soon unplugged as I guess Walmart turns the power off in the summer months.
