We first entered the New England States crossing the border into Maine from New Brunswick on 4th of October and moved south through 5 of the 6 States. From North to South we enjoyed Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Rhode Island is the smallest and Vermont is the only one we didn't visit. The Saddleback Camp Ground near Northwood in New Hampshire served as our base to visit Boston, and on the same basis we stayed just outside New Haven Connecticut to visit New York City. In both cases we used the Amtrak rail services to visit Boston and New York.
