The United States Capital Building stands at Capital Hill facing west down the National Mall, looking towards the Washington Monument and beyond to the Lincoln Memorial, and across the river to Arlington National Cemetery. When the senate is in session there is a flag on the corner of the building over the senate and when congress is in session a flag flies over the congress chamber, and when both are in session there are two flags flying. Of course it is not in session at the moment as the
campaign for President is in it's final few days before the American Elections.
