From Chesapeake we crossed from Virginia into North Carolina and followed Highway 17 south. The Navigator got a bit confused at times between 'bypass' & 'Business' routes, so ended up crawling though Elizabeth City, then further south at Williamston lost Highway 17 all together and got onto Hwy. 64 heading west. A bit of a detour but eventually found Hwy. 17 again.
Wow! It's all white and fluffy. When we saw our first cotton field, what a sight and then we came upon them harvesting the crop.
