We entered Florida on the Interstate Highway 95, and were going to take the ring road around Jacksonville but at the last minute the navigator changed her mind and we stayed on 95 straight through,which saved us a few miles and traffic kept moving quite well. A few miles south of the city, we decided to get off I 95 onto Highway A1A and drive down the coast, it turned out to be one of the most picturesque highways we have been on. The ocean was right beside the highway, which must be very dangerous during hurricane season.
