Highway 17 from North to South Carolina
Around lunch time we stopped outside a supermarket in the small town of Richlands, during one of our unexpected detours off Highway 17. Kath ran in for a few items for lunch, while I tended the 'Wagon Train' on the side of the road. Out of no where with all lights blazing the local police arrived. After they ran a check on both our licence plates it appears we are parked in a turning lane, not the curb! She checks my drivers licence and after a few questions I move into the parking lot, and the police still with all the lights on follow me! No ticket, but I considered us lucky as the local police in the 'Deep South' have a very bad reputation of picking up 'foreign' vehicles and giving out large fines...fund raising!
