The Savannah Waterfront has been very well preserved and is lovely to walk along. The three masted schooner about 150 feet long moored on the water front had an opening stern, so passengers could use it as a gangplank. Musicians, paddle wheelers, a huge conference center and hotel across the river with small foot passenger ferry's plying the river, up stream a very busy commercial port.
