We stayed three nights just outside of New Bern, North Carolina and had our first chance to see a little of the Intracoastal Waterway that goes for hundreds of miles along the east coast. We caught a free car ferry across the Neuse River south to Beaufort and Morehead City, then drove inland and north back to New Bern. The weather has been improving, Bill is back into shorts and sandals and I'm into Capri's.
