US Election 2008

4th November, 2008 United States of America Election Day.

It has been quite interesting traveling down through the eastern states as the campaign for President takes place, and listening to the radio, TV and peoples comments in general. It has been twenty two months of hard work since the campaigning first started to find a leader for each party. First the Democrats had a woman, Hilary Clinton and an African-American, Barack Obama running against each other until Barack Obama won the Democratic race. The Republicans had about four contenders for their leadership of which John McCain won that race.

Barack Obama chose Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate and John McCain chose a little known state governer from Alaska, Sarah Palin.

Just a sample of the election signage in gardens along the road.
